The concept for JunkSpace was to provide a way to understand the full costs and implications of any single purchase. Using emerging technologies in RFID chips which allow objects to monitor their own conditions of existence, and relying on both researchers and civilian journalism, this website would create an in-depth analysis of the complex network of social, political, economic, and environmental factors that surround an object. Viewable by a map of the journey an object takes, with accompanying articles and user uploaded video and photographs, this website presents the narrative of any chosen object. Know before you buy.
